Michigan United and our families have been fighting for years to stop deportations, and played a major role in the new programs President Obama announced in 2014: Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) and the expansion of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA+).
Now we’re working with our allies to ensure that every family in our state can sign up when the programs become available.
We are conducting public education to ensure that immigrant families know the risks, benefits and requirements of DAPA and DACA+. We are also working to increase the availability of low-cost legal services in communities across the state.
You can find fact sheets about DAPA and DACA HERE (links).
