As 2019 comes to a close, we are looking back at the progress we’ve made to strengthen our communities and the victories we’ve had protecting loved ones from the greed and racism that we fight everyday. We were able to secure funding to care for our loved ones in the state budget; We removed an excuse for police harassment of predominantly black and brown Kalamazoo residents; and we stood together to protect Brandon Reyes and his mother from deportation then we traveled together to Washington DC to protect dreamers everywhere.
None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of members like you! That’s why we will take the opportunity to honor our leaders at our end of year end celebration Friday, December 13th at the First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo.
We are honored to celebrate YOU! This is a time for our membership and leaders to celebrate the victories & the progress we've all made this year in Kalamazoo and throughout Michigan. The celebration is also the end of our Membership Drive, where we are ensuring that everyone has been invited to be a dues-paying member and raising grassroots funds for the upcoming year.
